PATENTS
Two patented versions, one for tidal energy and the other for wind energy, covering three fields of application.
Patent for tidal energy applications No. 1873542
Tidal Energy Applications
For tidal energy applications, the HydreManche® foundation structure is designed to provide a shared support capable of accommodating several turbines on a single base.
The aim is to address several recurring challenges faced by the sector:
- avoid, wherever possible, the need for a separate foundation for each tidal turbine.
- reduce the costs and constraints involved in transport, installation and grid connections
- simplify the overall operation and management of the tidal turbine array.
This is where the HydreManche® approach began
Patent for wind energy applications No. 2003399
FIXED-BOTTOM OFFSHORE WIND
For fixed-bottom wind turbines, whether offshore or onshore, the HydreManche® approach focuses on the support infrastructure in order to reduce the constraints and drawbacks associated with conventional foundations.
The underlying logic remains the same:
to design a solution that does more than simply support a machine, but also seeks to rationalise its installation at project scale.
Patent for wind energy applications No. 2003399
FLOATING OFFSHORE WIND
For floating offshore wind applications, the HydreManche® foundation structure aims to offer an alternative solution that helps better maintain turbine tower verticality, without relying on excessive ballast or draft.
- The aim is to provide a simpler, more controllable architecture, better aligned with real-world operating constraints.
The innovative HydreManche® raft foundation is protected by several industrial property rights.
The HydreManche® raft foundation is covered by several patent applications filed in France and internationally, together with a trademark registration held by HydreManche® SAS:
